# Inkline 0.4.12 preview

Inkline now reads battery hardware once per minute. Modem status still updates
once per second from RAM, and the footer redraws when its visible status changes.

The Outpost installer now stores service files where systemd can read them
before `/home` mounts, and the services wait for their installed runtime.
Connecting goTenna also starts the terminal proxy. This fixes the missing proxy
after reboot that made SSH fail with connection refused and `UNKNOWN port 65535`.
Existing home-linked service files are migrated automatically. Unrelated units
and service overrides are preserved, with conflicts checked before installation.
The goTenna USB power-management fix from 0.4.11 remains included.

Installer SSH defaults continue to prefer post-quantum key exchange. Existing
personal SSH settings are preserved; this release does not change the default
to classical key exchange.

Validation: the ARM build and all 22 Inkline host checks passed. Another 31
checks passed for service installation, goTenna control, USB power handling and
SSH configuration. The battery and service fixes were installed on a reMarkable
2, and the terminal proxy reached a Linux peer's SSH banner over goTenna. A fresh
reboot, authenticated SSH login, and a controlled CPU comparison were not part
of this release validation.

The bundle includes matching application and dependency sources, the Outpost
runtime, licenses, checksums and installer. This is a reMarkable 2 preview for
firmware 3.27; tested firmware is 3.27.3.0. The Python utility is required for
modem and goTenna networking. Quit and reopen Inkline after installation to
activate the battery fix.
